How many people on here own real Amiga hardware and use it?

I'm trying to take a quick informal poll on the wants and needs of Amiga users as we are expanding the selection of stuff we are selling on retrorewind.ca

How many people on here own real Amiga hardware and use it?

I had an A500 but my Mom tossed it away. Before she did I used to connect it on occasion to play a game or two before that happened. If I had the space and a permanent home at the time I'd probably have kept it hooked up.

I've wanted to play with Amiga BBS stuff for the longest time too, but never had the hardware.

I had an Apple ][c, ][gs, TI99/4A w/ expansion, Commodore 128, and an Amiga 500 at one time. In a perfect world I'd have a "retro room" in my house that had a C128, Apple ][gs and an Amiga 1200 + expansions (mostly or games) in it.

I guess what I will probably end up doing someday is just messing around with Amiga emulation at this point.

I have an A1200 with Vampire that so far I haven't used but intend to. I also have an AmigaOne X5000 that I use quite a bit.

Beyond that I have a handful of old PPC Macs that I use for MorphOS, OSX, and OS9.

JP got me interested in the MiSTer FPGA boards. I think the implementation is
a bit more interesting than mere emulation and the fact that it can do other cores makes it very exciting.

If you have the vampire for your 1200 then you already have an FPGA. The vampires use the cyclone 3 fpga.

I love my mister, it's better than emulation but still not quite the real thing, it's close though. I use it to test stuff mostly but it is frequently used.

A labour market survey, which is a government process proving that you have a skill that other people in the market you want to work in and proof that there is a lack of people in the area you want to move to with that same skill who are Canadian.

You then need to renew that survey every year. If you can pull off keeping it active for 5 years then you can apply for citizenship. You could also marry a Canadian and live here for a year without being able to work. After that year you can apply for a work permit and then after 5 years apply for citizenship.

To me, the neat thing about certain BBSes is exclusive games. That's why

Yeah thats one of the few things that may not be the same across various BBSes. I'd really like to check out some Amiga games at some point.

How many people on here own real Amiga hardware and use it?

Don't, but looking to jump into it. I got two c64's last year and am working towards probably getting an a1200 modded up over here. Was considering
getting a refurbed one from retropassion.uk unless there some good sources
for a PAL unit on this side of the pond.

I may get the real deal one day again. At first I thought I would never see another Amiga, but now things have changed. I now own a C64 and a C128. So now I am looking for that one good deal on another Amiga 500. Its what I had back in the day.

I just might. I also run a retro parts shop that focuses on nothing but Commodore hardware and it's located this side of the atlantic.
