How many people on here own real Amiga hardware and use it?
I guess what I will probably end up doing someday is just messing around with Amiga emulation at this point.
I've wanted to play with Amiga BBS stuff for the longest time too, but neverhad the hardware.
I had an Apple ][c, ][gs, TI99/4A w/ expansion, Commodore 128, and an Amiga 500at one time. In a perfect world I'd have a "retro room" in my house that had aC128, Apple ][gs and an Amiga 1200 + expansions (mostly
or games) in it.
I have an A1200 with Vampire that so far I haven't used but intend to. I alsohave an AmigaOne X5000 that I use quite a bit.
JP got me interested in the MiSTer FPGA boards. I think the
implementation isa bit more interesting than mere emulation and the fact that it can do othercores makes it very exciting.
I have a vampire for my 600 which I use as a daily driver. I do need to pull my AmigaOne back out of storage.
If you have the vampire for your 1200 then you already have an FPGA. The vampires use the cyclone 3 fpga.

I'm considering getting rid of the A1200 and getting a MiSTer FPGA instead. Ihad fun putting the A1200 together for the most part but now that it is"done" I find I don't really care as much about it :P
Yes, acknowledged, but it's specifically designed to be an Amiga CPU...theMiSTer can run other cores and essentially be an all in one
retro gamingstation for me.

I love my MiSTer, the ability to move and fuck around with shit is awesome.
You then need to renew that survey every year. If you can pull off
keeping it active for 5 years then you can apply for citizenship. You could also marry a Canadian and live here for a year without being able
to work. After that year you can apply for a work permit and then after
5 years apply for citizenship.

Don't, but looking to jump into it. I got two c64's last year and am workingtowards probably getting an a1200 modded up over here. Was consideringgetting a refurbed one from retropassion.uk unless there some good sourcesfor a PAL unit on this side of the pond.
