    Anyone ever tried to get Quest for Nora, the door game, to work in DOSemu?

    I've been working on it, trying various things, but have come up empty. I've done unp, tppatch, patchcrt. It did decompress from unp, but the other two didn't.

    Symptoms I'm specifically having is:
    Without a FOSSIL, and using virtual com1 from DOSemu:
    It loads, it shows the welcome screen. It delays a few seconds for the unregistered nag. Then press a key. I hit space, it shows me the next screen which is a prompt. I try to do anything from that point on, nothing works.

    With FOSSIL:
    It loads. The press a key shows up. No form of input works, at all.

    Ryan is the real resident dosemu door guru, he has been keeping details on
    what works and what doesn't and what he did to get them working.

    He is on the road a lot but usually checks in once a week or so.

    Awesome. I'm curious what your results will be. I've definitely been having "fun" tweaking and trying to get things running, trying to get as many door games as possible running that were actually generally worth a darn. ;) Especially those that had gone actually free before they stopped development, because I respect that.

    Got it working here. Did the following workflow, more or less.

    1 - Download the exe from the sunrise website
    2 - Use wine to decompress it
    3 - Launch dosemu and run the resulting EXE with "-D" to further decompress
    and create subdirectories
    4 - Run config exe and set up all nodes to find door.sys
    5 - configure BBS to launch batch file with node as argument

    Works here :)
