    Hello all.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a z80 computer kit (PCB & ICs)? I
have seen quite a few projects online but only a few sold as a kit.

    Thank you,
    Renos

My kids got me this z80 kit for Christmas: https://www.tindie.com/products/semachthemonkey/rc2014-mini-single-board-z80-co puter-kit/

As for the unit itself, I haven't gotten around to putting it together yet, it was something I was going to tackle next weekend.

This is a great little kit. It is very expandable. I also found the following kit which seems to be simpler to put together and also uses an ATMega to simulate ROM/IO.

You have any experience with Z80 assembly?

Last time I built or even played with one was 30+ years ago.

I didn't play around with it enough as I immediately moved on to the Vic-20 then the C64.

I am looking forward to putting it together and playing around with it.

Steve cousins makes a good kit called the SC114. It's compatible with
the rc2014 that spencer makes, but a bit easier as the cpu / ram / rom
are all on the main board, you can extend it also with the rc2014 bus,
it has a few slots on the main board or you can add additional slots via extendable base boards.

I've build the SC114 and the RC2014 (the original not the mini or micro)
both work well and both designers are very friendly and helpful there is
a google group where you can ask questions.
