Hey g00r00,
I'm trying to modify prompt '003' "Invalid Password" but Mystic is only loading from the default and not from themes.

When you are editing it in the prompt editor where does it say the
prompt is sourced from after you edit it?
The prompt editor is working fine. My edits are sourced from the current
'default' theme. I even reset prompt '003' and reapplied the edit.
Sorry... Should have been more clear. The string replacement within the BBS, particularly the login-matrix prompt where a password is entered incorrectly, doesn't appear to be pulling from the custom prompts.

The matrix password prompt is located at prompt 274. The one located at 003 is for non matrix logins.
The login matrix password invalid is not prompt #003 so that would be your problem. The prompt for invalid password for a standard login is different than matrix. #293 is the Matrix invalid password prompt.
I'm looking for the 'Invalid Password'.
Prompt 274 is 'Matrix login: enter account password prompt'
But... I decided to open prompts.dat into a text editor and I was able
to find the correct prompt by searching. The search option in Mystic config doesn't find the second prompt which is at 293... hence I've
been chasing my tail!

It does find it. If you search for "invalid" it will take you to thefirst
one. And then you use CTRL+A to search again (I think most/all of Mystic's listboxes work this way) and it will jump you through the rest of the
results including 293.

Yeah... I figured that one out too... Now I feel like a bigger dummy now
that you pointed it out...lol!
Its not being a dummy. Sometimes things are so "second nature" to me because its my own software that I forget to add in something minor like this that could go a long way into guiding someone through the UI.And I bet you have forgotten half of the stuff you have added over the

Nah don't feel that way. It wasn't entirely clear. It does have a "Find" and an "Again" command but in other places it will literally say "CTRL+A/Search Again" and it doesn't in the search box in the prompt editor.
Oh... I'm fine! It's been fun figuring it all out. I've been playing
with Mystic for about two years now but work has prevented me from
really getting under the hood and tinkering. I'm retiring in a few
months and Mystic will be one of those things that keeps me sane after several decades in IT. Thx for being so damned understanding :)
