But I need to go in and tweaks some of the ansi, e.g. open up the
prompts file using the mystic ansi editor. But I only see prompts.dat in the main mystic/data directory (and prompts.bak), and the files appear
to contain none of my modifications. And there doesn't appear to be a prompts.dat file in my theme directory... But I know my edits are
to contain none of my modifications. And there doesn't appear to be a prompts.dat file in my theme directory... But I know my edits are
working -- so they have to be saved somewhere. Question is: where?
Your theme's prompts that you've changed from the default are saved in
the theme's directory. Do not ever directly edit prompts.dat (or
anything in the DATA folder for the most part) as you will end up losing those changes when new prompts are added.
Thank you. Are there any potential problems with editing/saving the theme's modified prompt file in mystic's ansi editor?
Yes because its not an ANSI file. If you want to edit it in a text
editor you can use a text editor, Mystic's text editor, or you can use Mystic's prompt editor (which will eventually open a prompt in the ANSI editor).
