From Netsurge@77:1/100 to All on Fri Jun 28 13:40:14 2019
I just hatched out the first set of ibbs games for SciNet League 77 in the SCIINFO fileecho.

Currently the only game setup is Mega Slots. It is an easy one to setup and
can be used as a test to get the rest of the games going.

Over the next few days I will be adding other ibbs games like BRE, Clans, InterLord and Arrowbridge 1 & 2.

If you want to join the Mega Slots League 77 game then let me know and grab
the sciibbs.zip file from the fileecho or you can download it from https://diskshop.ca/files/sciinfo/sciibbs.zip

Alright, I'll get InterLORD going right after I make sure that MegaSlots is working fine. Let me know once someone has MegaSlots setup so that I can add them and see if packets start to flow properly.

I started on the setup but cannot get Mega77 to run under DOSEMU / Xubuntu.
It keeps failing with the following error:

ERROR: C:\TEMP1\DOOR.SYS not found or BBS type not recognized.

I tried DORINFO1.DEF as well and even placed a "PAUSE" in my batch script to verify the drop files were generated via Mystic.

The files look file -- I wonder if it has to do with some EOL formatting
    issue between DOS/Linux?

What drive letter assignments do you have in dosemu, is drive C the root path of your Mystic install? What does your autoexec.bat file look like.

Most dosemu installs use drive C as the base freedos install, you then have
to add a second drive and point it to your Mystic base dir.

For example, I use drive D and in my autoexec.bat file I add:

    lredir d: linux\fs\home\frank\bbs

My Mystic base dir is /home/frank/bbs. You must start it off with linux\fs\

Yeah that would be me not paying attention and just assuming C: and not forgetting it was D: :D

I am not on my main PC now hosting it but shortly I will make the adjustments and try again.

    Long week :)

Ok I think I have things running now.

Do we need an updated MEG-NODE.LST file for this to work properly under IBBS
as mine has some default maze BBS details.

No need, all you have to do is make sure whatever packets your system creates in the data directory get sent back to me.

The best way to do this is create a filebox for 77:1/100 and active it under
my echomail node entry. Then script moving the files into the filebox after your run meg-ibbs -ibbsin and -ibbsout. Mystic will then take care of sending me the packets via binkp.

Ok I just manually dropped the MSG files I have from \DATA to the filebox folder I have setup for SCINET which I had sent over to you -- can you check
to see if this gets processed on your side?

I got your mg* packets just fine and processed them just fine.

As Mystic doesn't use *.msg for netmail and you will end up scripting the movement of the mg* files to my filebox, you can do away with the actual
    *.msg files that are created.

I set the netmail/*.msg directory to a folder that I end up emptying after
the script is run. You don't need them as they are meant to route the game packets back to me but dropping them into my filebox gets them to me just
    fine.

I had some time tonight to clean up the InterBBS games and remove nodes that were no longer responding.

With the exception of AB1 and 2 which I will get to when I am done this message, is there anyone else who has requested to join any of the games we offer and haven't been added yet?

If so, please let me know and I will get you added.

It is great to see all of the action going on in the games. If we keep this
up other nodes will want to join the action. I might even be convinced to add
a prize to some of the games to keep the action going.
