Sorry, I've been trying to be good about not butting in on discussions about Fidonet on these other networks, but I've been a bit frustrated and don't really know what to do about it. I've applied about a year ago, my app was at least forwarded to a local RC. I've at least been issued a node number.. But.. the linkup has been a thorn in my side. I never got my link working with the RC in my "area".. I don't really know what the issue was.. I checked everything
on this side as far as I knew and the local RC Sysop didn't seem to bother to investigate much on his end at the time. Now, a year later, this Sysop's BBS seems to be completely down. Go figure.

I've followed back up with this other person who handled my app, I don't know their exact role but I think they're the North America RC or something. They confirmed I've been at least issued a node number. But here I am stuck, as I have no idea what happened to this Sysop (I've attempted email contact and gotten no response as of yet). This other RC did mention if I know another Fidonet Sysop I can link up to Fidonet that way.

Sorry if I'm expressing this in the wrong place, but I saw somebody else mention something about a Fidonet app..

Stackfault mentioned in Z1C he received a packet somewhat recently from RC-11.

I've tried polling that system in like several different ways and I can not connect, at all.

He probably has you on a blacklist, lol.

I think the only communication I had with him was him establishing a link with my system; and thats the last I heard.

Its really frustrating actually, having my predecessor looking over my shoulder, and a few RC's that either CC or Netmail her first when it comes to asking RC-related questions.

Nope, i was assigned a regional guy who didn't ever say anything, i emailed a couple days later and he replied back something like he had some issue on Sunday and he was still alive. That was 4 days ago, still haven't heard anything.

Probably not going to happen before i leave for vacation I guess.

I've followed back up with this other person who handled my app, I don't know their exact role but I think they're the North America RC or something. They confirmed I've been at least issued a node number. But here I am stuck, as I have no idea what happened to this Sysop (I've attempted email contact and gotten no response as of yet). This other RC did mention if I know another Fidonet Sysop I can link up to Fidonet
    that way.

Had the same BS happen to me. Took over 3 weeks to get me a node number & was never able to hook up with his system to get echoes...so Avon in Region 3 got me hooked up.

Make sure you keep yourself healthy by eating. I bought a ton of frozen food for my breakfast (hot pocket/frozen pizza)...along with some canned pasta.
Also have some burger patties/chicken breast & whatnot available if I need to make something more substantial. Part of the problem is I have to watch
myself or I'll forget to eat when I get busy. This happens...my blood sugar drops & I have to have something. Don't let this happen to you. Even making grilled cheese sandwiches is something decent & fast.

I think today I had a banana, couple slices of American cheese, and a

I usually keep canned fruit around in the fridge & will eat that as well. I know I'm harping on you...but you need to take care of yourself. When I get stressed...I don't & I pay a cost for it.

I love to cook but won't really do it for myself. My company is forcing a global work-from-home policy until COVID19 calms down, but my girlfriend still has to go to the office. This leaves me in charge of my own meals.

Make sure you keep yourself healthy by eating. I bought a ton of
frozen food for my breakfast (hot pocket/frozen pizza)...along
with some canned pasta. Also have some burger patties/chicken
breast & whatnot available if I need to make something more

LOL, yeah that's very "healthy" eating right there.

substantial. Part of the problem is I have to watch myself or
I'll forget to eat when I get busy. This happens...my blood sugar
drops & I have to have something. Don't let this happen to you.
Even making grilled cheese sandwiches is something decent & fast.

Must be a result of your "healthy" eating habits.

I usually keep canned fruit around in the fridge & will eat that
as well. I know I'm harping on you...but you need to take care of yourself. When I get stressed...I don't & I pay a cost for it.

Canned fruit.... pure sugar. More healthy eating!!! Hahahaha

I've had a few internals removed over the years for various illnesses. Best
    one was my appendix:

Frank "Ok, so you have to take it out. What will that mean in the long term, will I have to adjust my life style or diet or take medications?"

Dr "Nope. Honestly we aren't really sure what it does, it might have served a purpose 500 or 1000 years ago but we have medical evidence that you don't
