Is anyone familiar with using ZOC terminal, for Windows or MAC, to call telnet BBSes? I have a regular user to my DOS system that is using ZOC. I recently migrated from running under OS/2 / VMODEM back to linux/dosemu using tty0tty and tcpser.
At first, I was getting the dreaded double-CR when using syncterm. I changed the connection to RAW and everything seems fine now. Qodem worked without major changes when set to TELNET, ANSI, CP437. Netrunner and Magiterm also work well so long as no one tries to download with them.
The user is running into the same double-CR issue with ZOC. I don't have Windows or MAC machine to test it with. ZOC does not have a RAW connection type, but does advertise many, many others:
VT52, VT100, VT102, VT220 (full implementation incl. print through, keyboard and ANSI colors)
ZOC has been tested using the vttest suite and it has scored an excellent 105 Points (see the full report).
Xterm emulation with 256 colors and mouse support (e.g. for use with Midnight Commander)
Linux console-like (including UTF8, colors, full keyboard)
TN3270 (models 3278 and 3279/E with line graphics, colors and full keyboard mapping)
TN5250 for IBM iSeries access
ANSI-BBS, ANSI-SCO, Avatar
Sun-CDE
Wyse WY-30, WY-50, WY-60
TVI 9xx (TVI 920, TVI 925, TVI 950)
QNX V4
ATT4410
TTY
All emulations support line graphics with any font
He has tried VT100 and linux (that I know of). Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what he could try with ZOC?
Thanks!
