Hello All,

For several years, I was driving with what clearly became poor
rear suspension and reduced clearance. This only started to
become apparent about 4 or 5 years ago. The vehicle was only
about 9 yrs old then.

This is what a $3500+ repair gave me:

Holy crap - I can't believe how much you can see the change in height! It was expensive enough!! Glad you got that issue sorted, I bet it drives a lot better now, huh?

Yes.. almost feels like driving a completely different machine.

But it surprises me that the rear coils gave out like they did,
and not the front ones where a whole lot more weight (the
engine) resides.

Well... I think all the energy, and therefore weight, ends up on the rear axle - it makes sense to me that the rear ones went out worse than the fronts... its where all that momentum ends up.

It's back to the shop for an inspection. A couple of the
brakes/calipers are not applying evenly across the rotors.
Corrosion easily begins in those exposed areas.
