"Maintain safe distance," the AI tech system would warn, a driver told Motherboard complaining it would lower his performance rating when
other cars cut him up.
“Every time I need to make a right hand turn, it inevitably happens. A
car cuts me off to move into my lane, and the camera, in this really dystopian dark, robotic voice, shouts at me."
Does it also report them to their company?
I have a 70mai Pro Plus. I recently used it during a road trip and had
turned on the AI. It kept warning me to watch the car ahead so much,
always when I had just been cut off on the Interstate, that I had to turn
the AI off. I forget now exactly why I had turned it on to begin with, but
it was very annoying on the Interstate.
The outlet spoke to drivers across multiple US states confronted by similar problems, including cameras punishing them for 'looking at the side mirror, fiddling with the radio or stopping ahead of a blind intersection.'
Mine does not do that, thank goodness.
