• Running a 2 cylinder car - Citroen 2CV

Anyone else doing a really retro car thing? We have a Citroen 2CV6 which we drive on weekends. Get great MPG (mileage) and SPG ("smileage"), as well as being simple enough that I can do much of servicing needed.

    What is your fun ride?

I used to own a honda jazz. It was great fun. When I went to fill up it never cost more than a dollar and I had to do that every two weeks. I used it to get back and forth to work.

I might just do something like that again.

    Hallo k9zw,

2CVs are cool :) I had one for some years (around 2013-2017). I've worked
on it to restore the seats, added a radio and had some rust protection
    done.
It has also been the "wedding car" for my wife and me - it fitted really well, as it also has been white :)

As we moved to Karlsruhe in 2017 and got new jobs here, I ran out of time
to look for the car and sold it.

It was my second ever car, my first one was a Citroen C3 (2007-2020), and
now I'm driving a Smart 453 convertible :) (as my wife drives a Toyota
Yaris Hybrid, we don't need two big cars)

    Regards,

My First car was a Honda 600 Z coupe. Top speed of 60mph (downhill LOL) was a fun little car. Had to replace the head but drove it a couple years after that then sold it to somebody looking for a car with great gas mileage.

My first 2CV was one I bought when I lived near Mannheim and had a 2cv-cross engine build done by a motorcycle race engine tuner. It was much faster than
a standard 2cv and made kafer drivers unhappy as it was faster than their
    cars.

I then bought a CX2400 Pallas Cmatic which went to Karlsruhe (K-town) weekly for university classes.

Never drive a C3 but liked the larger C6 when I was in it.

That first 2CV went all over France, the low countries, Switzerland and was a lot of fun!

Oh, sounds nice :) Mine had the most powerful regular engine available,
    29hp AFAIR.

    Also a nice car.
Btw, greetings from Karlsruhe :) (that's where I live *g*).

I never tried those, but I think they were the last Citroens with hydropneumatic suspension, which was a very comfortable ride :)
