Sounds interesting, I will need to check a few of your videos after
work
tonight. I am still falling down the hole myself. Never had a C64 in
the day,
we had an Apple II, but the recent discovery and purchase of TheC64
has got
me very interested.
then I started a Youtube channel and did some tutorial vids on game programming and asm, and then I made a c64 conversion of Wordle... and that kinda exploded. haha
So the last couple months, I've fallen down a c64 rabbit hole. It
started with me playing with emulators and re-learning 6502 assembly etc...

If anyone is interested in checking it out, it's called Not A Wizard
and is at: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8M0VmsO-i-8aDJNJH9NWXg
Google loves their super social media friendly URLs.. haha
Oh and I now have a real c64 and a TheC64 as well as the emulators
which I tend to use for making vids and playing around on..
Fun times :D

I just bit the bullet and bought a recapped C64. So excited. Now, on to a composite monitor and some peripherals...

Glad you took the plunge. I got into the C= demoscene and historical phreaking/hacking software - pretty fun to relive and learn things that were before my time.

Whoa I was just watching those videos the other day! I've been falling
down the C64 rabbit hole a lot lately.

For 'TheC64', check out Project Carousel USB: An alternative carousel implementation which is much more powerful.
Right on, aLPHA - I've found that the C= community is really great...
while it sucks, theres a couple awesome groups on FB that are VERY knowledgable about C= stuff...

Just had a look.. I have to confess I don't really use the carousel mode and just go straight into c64 mode.
I can understand this view - The website does a really bad job of
'selling' exactly what the project is and what it adds beyond the
usual Carousel.

Hopefully this has helped explain it at least a little bit!
