Does anyone here have a MiSTer? I just ordered a build--it was my Xmas
gift to myself, ha--and I'm looking forward to diving in.

It seems like a large majority of fpga owners are obsessed with
retro arcade/console game accuracy, that's a key selling prop, but I'm
equally interested in the "personal computer" cores - C64, Amiga, DOS,
    Apple ][, classic MacOS, etc.

    Can't wait!

Unfortunately, a by-product of retro tech popularity seems to be a
shortage of CRT screens--everyone seens to want one--who would have
thought those old CRT monsters would value now...?

Everyone? Really? Hmmm.. Ultimately, I collected about 8 crt
monitors that had stored around the house and took them to
    landfill.

one--who would have thought those old CRT monsters would
    value now...?

I had exploding capacitor issues with a couple of otherwise
fine 20" ones. And, I really don't miss the heat generation
and high energy consumption of those things. I still have a
Sony Trinitron 20" TV (purchased circa 1988) which hasn't seen
the light of day for nearly 20 years - but I don't quite have
the heart to toss that out.

    Hiya,

I own a c-one, its capable of being a c64, vic20, minimig, amstrad/schneider something, zx-one and maybe something else I forgot. Mine has 2 sids on board, it can visit the web and has a HD attached to it. Unfortunately the c64 cores never ended up in a good "final" state. The last updates are from 2011 unfortunately.

    Gtx!

... A PC a day keeps the Apple away!
