mTCP is a great suite
especially netdrive. it allows me to have huge virtual HDD on more modern machines! xD
I've not tried netdrive, what do yo need to do to get it up and running?
I use XFS to mount an NFS share as a drive when I need to backups, but
the memory use is high so I don't have it running all the time.
What's netdrive's memory use like?

KA9Q is a TCP stack and suite of applications that'll run on anything
from an XT upwards on top of DOS. Oddly enough, and I didn't know this until know it started life on CP/M and also has an Acorn Archimedes port.

I remember POP3 mail, telnet, ftp, not sure what else it does now off
the top of my head. AX.25 for packet radio...
Most of its functionality is going to be covered by mTCP but it'll run
on the sniff on an oily rag, with very minimal overhead.

like 6k and xt system compatible also u can use the 6.22 kernel From FreeDOS which i think uses less ram. i dislike those bloody 386 programmers! they are everywhere in FreeDOS. i reached out to jhall but
no responce.. yet

Interesting. TLP's entire install is on an NFS mount.. I see it using
some 62k for XFSKRNL while RLFOSSIL is using 84k. Shelled out of FD I'm still showing ~540k available. There's not much that won't run in
that...
Some games like Monster Bash and Dune II have higher conventinal memory requirments. Monster Bash won't work reliably with anything under 600k free at least that has been my experience with it. Dune II needs
a lot of conventional memory if you also want sound blaster
digitized sound effects...

Most other stuff will be fine with 540k though. But I like dune II and Monster Bash is a really nice EGA platformer that has some of the best
EGA graphics I've seen in a platformer from that period. Also the sound blaster support is nice & it has a decent sound track.

i will note these games down they seem interesting! :D
