I know you can change how the server/client behaves with filenames. I just
left the linux end at lower case, most operations over there work in lower
case anyways. And I left XFS/DOS showing all caps. It doesn't appear to do much in the way of translation... mixed case comes out as garbage.

I believe so, to be sure you should probably confirm that though its been a while since I've experimented with XFS's mount settings.
It wouldn't be hard to test though.
