    Howdy,

I remember in the 1990's that there used to be Videotex based BBSes (that ran at 1200/75).

I used to work at a company where we had pages on Australia's Videotex environment (called Viatel then), so I've always had a interest in Videotex.

While I'm half way through making a Videotex shell for Synchronet, I started writing one because I havent been able to find the BBS software that was used in the 1990's (no idea what it was called).

Anybody aware of Videotex BBS software, and where I can get a copy?

I did find VHOST for RISC-OS, which I've run on a Pi, but unfortuantely the telnet to serial interface keeps stopping after a day or so, so its not reliable :( (And I dont know anything about RISC-OS).

you could ask in the RISC OS forum: https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/

a search for 'vhost' or 'videotex' didn't return any topic related result though.

Wheee... I recall a few ASCII/ANSI bbs that still ran at 1200/75 very early
on, more late 80s than 90s... but no anything that directly supported videotex...
