• Did someone say retro?

Well...okay, this *hardware* isn't retro. It's one of those little Agon Light 2 ez80 SBC widgets. The software I'm using to post this is actually CP/M 2.2, which is pretty frickin' retro. :)

Just taking it for a little test drive with an ESP12 with Zimodem firmware. BBSing with Kermit! The future is now! :D

    To which Commodore Clifford replies...

Amazing what they've come up with in the modern era, huh?

Very nice - I've been hearing more and more about the Argon; Agon? Anyway; what are your thoughts - what else have you done with it as of yet?

For the price, its a really intriguing SBC - I might wanna take a dive, too.

Right? It's pretty slick. I suppose it's really 'pseudo-retro' because even though it's got a z80 acting as the CPU, the video processing is all handled by a (much more powerful) ESP32.

So far I've mostly just been getting it set up. I've got it set up to boot into BBC BASIC, downloaded a few games for it just to check out the video/audio potential, and have been messing around with CP/M. CP/M is really what pushed me into the 'buy it' category. I have a C128 that *can* run CP/M, but not very well. I've considered messing trying to put together a Z80 S100 system or something, but that's getting into an area that's just a bit more primitive than where most of my interests lay.

So far, the feeling I've been getting from the discord / forums I've seen is that they developers are really just getting to the point where they've figured out their development environment. It's still very much a work in progress, but for the money, I'd say for anyone interested in just tinkering, it's well worth the money. There seems to be a LOT of potential in it.

Trust me, thats cool enough - I'd love to hear m0re about what you think about the SBC... please keep us informed; I think this board is really cool, especially because of the price - push me over the edge to make an order. :P

CP/M 2.2 runs surprisingly well on a Fujinet. If you've got an 80 column display its even better. I've been running WordStar and Supercalc and
    it's pretty easy to learn.
