Alright, I'm a long time fan of PiMiga, but if you don't know what it is - its an emulation setup that turns your Raspberry Pi 4/Pi 400 into a pretty sweet Amiga setup.
Underneath its running Linux, but you'll boot up into ScalOS. ScalOS is an Amiga-like OS that allows you to run all the retro Amiga softwarez with the ability to pull current software applications thru to its desktop. So, you can use a current day Firefox - making the system very usable with the best of
both worlds.
PiMiga also comes with TONS of Amiga software pre-loaded. Not only are there tons of programs, utilities, tools, internet software, programming stuff - it has both iGame and iDemo - each with 1,000s of Amiga titles. All the Amiga
games you love, and lots of the demoscene stuff from back in the day.
Ok, so I'm in - what now?? Well - you'll have to download PiMiga 3 from a .torrent, and you have to bring your own Amiga KickStarts. (You also need a Pi 4 or 400, but you knew that already right??) You can search the 2oFB file
areas for "PIMIGA_3" and I've created an archive that contains the .torrent file and all required stuff you'll need.
The .7z that the .torrent downloads is 18GB and you'll need at least a 64GB SDCard. All directions are in a text file after you download PiMiga 3, and I've written some readme.txt's to help you get started.
On your first boot of PiMiga 3, press F12 and quit - which brings you to the underlying Linux. Then grab a terminal and run 'sudo raspi-config'. We need to select the advanced tab and expand the filesystem - making sure we can use our full SDCard... then, setup your locale stuff and make sure yer wifi is all
setup. 'sudo reboot now' and you're ready to enjoy PiMiga 3!
One extra feature I've been enjoying is the Mega AGS. It curates lists of top software, games and demos for Amiga... so... PiMiga(ScalOS) runs on top of
Amiberry - the emulation layer. Whenever yer in PiMiga OS, you can press F12 to get the Amiberry menu. Select quit to go to the underlying Linux system...
Now on the left hand side you'll see a Mega AGS icon right underneath the PiMiga 3 icon. Start here if you're not super familiar with Amiga software - some of us didn't use Amiga's back in the day and don't know what games are worthwhile. I find titles here and then later add good ones to my 'favorites' in iGame - within PiMiga 3...
I hope that some of you might be interested enough to grab this release - I love it and, being the sixth iteration of PiMiga at this point, is getting pretty freaking polished.
Chris Edwards' is known as 'the greatest Amiga necromancer of this age' and has a killer YouTube channel. You should checkout his content - but if yer
interested in PiMiga 3, make sure to watch the release video while you gab the release and burn it to SDCard... it'll take just about that long. :P

In the video's description you can find a link to the .torrent to download PiMiga 3, but I think its smarter to grab PIMIGA_3.ZIP from 2oFB because it has everything you'll need... you trust me by now, don't ya???
