I've switched out Taurus' roll of managing binkp session with Synchronet. (Taurus is still looking after EMSI stuff.)

I'll monitor it today to make sure I havent missed a config - but if you notice
anything out of play, please let me know.

Oli - tor should still work for you, if I havent messed up anything (now going to Synchronet) ;)

yes, still works, now with binkit. I wonder if it is possible to use the tor proxy from binkit, so it could poll my node directly. If not I will sent you the address of my TLS-Tor proxy ...

Tor proxy from binkit? Not heard of it. But it might be tricky, my windows box is not the tor exit, my opnsense is. But in theory, I could create a seperate job that polls you (that uses socks(?) to opnsense)...

Hub 3 is windows, but we could also do this on linux, I ultimately would like to get everything back to linux (only using windows for EMSI - the only thing that seems to work for Spectre at the moment).

I also couldn't find any support for a SOCKS proxy in the binkit sources.

How would you do it on Windows without binkd? On Linux you could use something like torsocks ...

The key phrase there is "that works". No, not reliably. But I havent tried all possible scenarios and its just a matter of getting time to do it.

I think the challenge is Spectre is using RLFOSSIL and the mix of "telnet" and "tcp" connection options. I was hoping to use ifcico in my side, but we couldnt
get it to work. I may have to go back to MBSE (which I originally used) and from memory that was working, but I'm not keen, because it doesnt handle long filename TICs and files that Avon often hatches out.
