Looks like my Hub keeps failing after a few hours - I'm on a hunch its
the USB storage, so I've replaced it with a USB caddy holding an SSD drive.
I'm keeping an eye on it, so if it fails I should see fairly quickly -
but if you dont see it back up after a few hours (I'm GMT+11, so
sleeping excluded ;) send me an email...
Hey folks,
Looks like my Hub keeps failing after a few hours - I'm on a hunch its
the USB storage, so I've replaced it with a USB caddy holding an SSD
drive.
Sorry for the hastles - just when I was starting to ignore it because it was running soooo well, it started failing. :(
After over an TB of data writes (just an estimate), I'm still waiting for my SD card to fail. I'm starting to trust the SD storage (until it fails ;)).
Yeah, I've had good luck with SD cards - none have failed yet,
Hub 3's failure was a new SAN disk USB stick - and its only a month
old... :|
I've replaced it with a USB caddy holding an SSD drive.
There is hope that it will last much longer. Do you know if your caddy supports fstrim?
