Appears none of my messages left my BBS so I am on another to ask for
    help:

Ever since upgrading to the latest verison of Mystic, my BULLETINS fail
to notify anyone of "NEW". Even when visiting the "S"ystem Bulletins
    menu, still shows none.

I made sure I recomposed the latest .mpx and the command is still
"bulletin bulletin bullet check" (if I remember off the top of my head).

FSX net seems to all stay LOCAL instead of NETWORK. I can see my
messages on other networks, so not sure what is going on. I also saw
that latest post from WebMistress, but my node is not listed there --
could be THE reason I haven't been getting any replies to my questions
    for the past few months.

    Any help?

Have a look at your fsxNet message area setup and make sure messages are being exported to your hub.

I'd check if the script has not changed in some fashion, perhaps do a plain install of mystic in another directory of your system and manually copy the script across to the scripts directory of your BBS (take a backup first ;)) then recompile.

Also check the plain install of Mystic to check the syntax of how the script is being called in case that's changed.

I checked HUB 2 as a starter for you. It seems you are polling in hourly and collecting packets

As for your BBS, check things like

Level 3 MUTIL logs to see if there's an issue processing inbound packets
Your echomail\in directory to see if there's a bunch of unprocessed packets Your echomail node settings for your HUB (which I think will be correct as you are polling in etc. now)
Your fsxNet echos are linked to export to your echomail node HUB for fsxNet

Let me know how you get on.

    We'll get you sorted :)

I had this issue when I upgraded to A48 and found that the bulletin.mpx had an error in it. I pulled the one out of A47 and put it online reassembled it and it works as described. I didn't do a line by line comparison on it to find out what was wrong though.. I just replaced it with the older one...

    Thank you!

Yes, I can POLL and receive all email but mine isn't going out.
And your log showed the error on the opposite end:

    My IP is :
    + 2023.04.09 18:35:13 BINKP > Connect on slot 1/10 (67.3.184.95)
    + 2023.04.09 18:35:13 BINKP 1-HostName 67-3-184-95.omah.qwest.net

    Your poll shows:
    + 2023.04.09 19:12:53 1-Using address 192.64.150.45

there should be no IP involed : should be bbs.f4fbbs.com:24555 (BINK)
but if IP is needed, then it is non-static 67.3.184.45:24555

I also tried that, but I will do it on a different computer and copy files over.
The BBS runs on a WIN 7 VDi on a Linux Server, so backups are done periodically.

I do now also see that my (Y)es, (N)o, (C)ontinous doesn't work either, so perhaps the menus also got corrupted. I'll have to copy those over as well.

    Thanks!!!!

So I found out after some testing that if I create a new user, they are allowed to see all new bulletins after logging in. However, no other previous users can see new bulletins - even if they manually go to the BULLETINS screen. So there is a menu or flag somewhere I am missing.

New user still cannot click (Y), (N), or (C) -- (1) or (0) is allowed. I tried to install a fresh instance of .A48 to \themes\test2 and selected that for my previous user, but still neither item work above.

Even tried to copy & paste all items into the main folders as fresh, too.

Thanks for all the help provided and giving me places to look!

bulletin.mps just looks at the file date and checks if it's newer than the last time the user was on.

i'm unsure about the previous bulletins though.. i'm able to view them easily enough on mine.

I also noticed that the mystic.ini says 1.12.A47 when the files are .A48 .. so if I copy all the .exe's from a fresh install to the running, I get DATA FILES .. something about not same version (DOS screen flashes too quickly).

I'll have to create a whole new and start from scratch and see .. I have a lot of message/file/door data that I'm not sure if MYSTIC allows export/import. :(
