Hello, i just downloaded netrunner and i can't find the way to set different port from standards.
I think it could be with : at the end like mysite.com:2323 but i can't write ":" with my italian keyboard....
    Help me please ;-)

I cant help you with the second part, but you are right about just putting in : at the end of the telnet address with port #. Example. 20forbeers.com:1337

And of course you get to that by hitting Alt-e to edit each BBS you have in your listing.

If you cant figure it out, maybe you can download Syncterm, in syncterm you put the port in without the :.

    Hope this helps you out!!

Thanks for reply but i already use it..... i want/need to change because Syncterm doesn't allow to copy/paste.
So i am trying netrunner but here is not possible to write any characters that need "shift"
This situation is absurd... there is non client that works well?
I lerned Mystic (i think is very nice and professional piece of software) and how it work but is useless to make a splendid and beatufull BBS if there is no working client for ordinary people.
I would want adv my bbs on my discord server but i don't know which client to recommend...
Sorry for my bad english ;-)

Can you copy it from here? Or.. I see you were able to type the : in this message??? At any rate, if you can see the :, can't you copy the : and paste it into Netrunner??? :P

As the next reply stated, I think 20ForBeers.com:1337 would be the perfect bbS to test it @. :P

    Cheers...

You could try advertising a web based client if you wanted to make it as accessible as possible:

    http://embed-v2.ftelnet.ca/

I've integrated that into my webpage here:

    https://www.nrbbs.net

Also also what they use on telnetbbsguide.com

Interesting, I would never have guessed that! Hm, maybe something like 'blocker' from my friend xqtr is worth a try? Are you using linux as your desktop OS?

    https://github.com/xqtr/blocker_bbs_telnet_client

Since this basically runs in your terminal window, it should support copy/paste

Hello, i just downloaded netrunner and i can't find the way to set different port from standards.

    Hi,

You could try to import phonebooks from other clients (mTelnet and Syncterm) -> alt-i in phonebook in Netrunner.

Or try ./nodespy in your mystic dir, not many people are aware that you can call with nodespy too. Hit the space bar and you have an empty phonebook.
Other keys in the phonebook that can be used are:
    ALT-E edit - CTRL+I/INS add - CTRL+D/DEL delete - ESCAPE quit and ENTER call

These keys should appear at the bottom, but in my distro that line doesnt appear in the standard window format. For the ' alt ' keys dont forget to disable the menu shortcuts keys in the terminal.

The advantage of nodespy is that the phonebook is plain ascii and editable with any texteditor. The disadvantage of nodespy is that it uses your terminal
    'ansi color scheme' ....

    Gtx!
    SPi!

For a quick fix, what about using a popup virtual keyboard? Or at least using multiple keyboards where you can swap to US for the : and then back to your native one?

Alt-z shows the help. I'm pretty sure there's a phonebook file which you generally setup to connect that would allow you to set a port and connection type (SSH...).
