• My first ever mod for Mystic.

    From claw@21:1/210 to All on Sun May 22 17:51:14 2022
    I have just finished version 1.0 of the first ever mod, and program for that matter for Mystic BBS. Its an ANSiTV mod that allows the users to select a baud rate and from a list of files the sysop has added to a directory and then displays them in the order selected. I saves the selections between uses and the baud rate the users prefers. Awaiting approval to join Phenom Mods but is available now on my BBS. I was inspired by the Vault BBS's ANSI TV. My menus are ugly but I'm no artist.

    Would like options/suggestions if your willing to check it out. Available on my BBS now option T at the main menu.

    I'm happy to hatch it out in fsxNet if you wanted to upload it to Agency.

    Nice work Dr Claw! It's great that you're throwing yourself in and giving it a good go, like anything the more you do the better at it you will become.

    Here's the latest BBS mod I've been working on; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oi4EuKfJveo

    It's a nodelist browser with extra sugar! Let me know what you think =)

    If you mean to jump to other BBSes from the mod, yes. you can connect to any BBS via the mod, as long as the nodelist entry for the bbs you wish to connect to is correct and follows the fido standard for nodelist entries. I've spotted that more often than not, nodelist entries in most networks are misconfigured in some way or other.

    Cheers =)

    That is awesome! Would love to see a better BBS list that works like this. What language did you write it it in? Also followed you on youtube. Love the channel!

    Thanks! It's written in python, specifically Mystic Python, which is exactly like regular python, just with some added functions specific to Mystic.

    I've made a few minor changes to it since releasing the video, so if you wanna see it running live, come by some time and have a play with it. It's really fun to use, and because it works off the nodelists, it's always up-to-date (well as much as can be with the nodelists).

    Glad you enjoy the content, more coming as and when time permits =)

    Whoot! Yeah the video was pretty good. I'm clearly not nearly as good a programmer as you. I couldn't figure out how to make it a lightbar menu on mine
