This came out when I was music director for WABK-FM. First
time I heard it, I told the program director that it was to
be a future #1 song on the charts. He argued with me that
it was a piece of crap and would flop... to put it nicely
<G> I told him one reason it would do so well was because
of how Aretha's vocals just overpowered George Michael's
and made her shine as she should. In a few weeks it was #1
on 4 different charts concurrently!

Hello N1uro!
1986? I missed hearing that one. It sounds totally unfamiliar
to me. I might have to agree with your prg director.. there's
nothing overly special about it. Songs tend to do well that can distinguish themselves from others competing for attention.
Aretha *does* have a distinctive voice. She'd probably stand
out in any duet or remake and do well.
