• Upgrading Magicka

    So how do we update the whole BBS software? I tried the wiki, but there's no page on the subject.

    1. Stop the BBS
    2. git pull
    3. make www
    4. Start the BBS

    note, you may want to backup your BBS just in case.

    Also note, if 2. fails because something is in the way, just move the
    file out of the way (or delete it) and git pull will replace it with a
    version from the repository.

    Wow smooth upgrade! Resulted in 2 backups - one to test my backup script and one to test my "idiot proof" upgrade script. :) I'm impressed with the ease of

    upgrading Magicka. :) Now to restart and test the idle timeout. :)
