From vk3jed@21:1/50 to All on Tue Dec 25 07:43:10 2018
Looks like the heat has got to my Banana Pi, and temporarily taken out my main BBSs. Might have to request a third node number off Avon for this system. Posting this in the Magicka area rather than FSX_GEN, because it's the only place I have a path out (via HappyNetX) that doesn't rely on the other system here. :)

Hope to have the other system back up in the next hour or so, once I've completed a set of backups manually on the desktop. :) Should be able to safely upgrade to Mystic A40 if I don't take a backup. The Pi survives summer if I keep the CPU load down. :)

And it's back up. Have taken backups manually on the desktop. Will have to keep CPU load down during these heatwaves. Routine SD replacement to take place later this week. :)

    Nope. :D

When Vk is hot he just runs fast enough to create his own cooling
breeze. He's a weird one that way.

IIRC, and I may not, but a fellow on YT that goes by mickmake has some
videos out there where he uses a more robust heatsink/fan on the sbcs that
he is testing/using. Not sure how costly they are, though.

Not the best medium for me, especially for any detailed info. :(

I've been hiding in the house tonight. 25F (3.9C), with 25mp/h (40km/h) winds... Brrrrrr.

I think something got lost in translation there. 25F != 3.9C. :D My guess is you left out a - sign. -3.9C makes more sense. :) Wind speed conversion is accurate. ;) Well, we got to at least 41C (106F), still hovering around 40C (104F).
