I have been learning how to know what Icons on my Android phone mean.

Email has a smiley face icon that I can understand.
The next two icons is are a curved counterclockwise arrow and a curved clockwise arrow.

This BBS has at the bottom of messages symbols that look like what I will type below.

|<< |<. Something that looks like two links in a chain. >|. >>|. and a rectangle box.
The box is for starting a Reply.

Is there an article where I can see what these icons mean?

For echicken's web interface for Synchronet (what I *think* you're referring to there, example here: https://web.synchro.net/?page=001-forum.ssjs&sub=fsx_gen&thread=104809), if you just hover your pointer over those icons, you should see a description of each button functoin pop-up:

|< - Jump to previous message
& - Direct link to this message

| - Jump to next message

| - Jump to newest message

You don't need an article, just use the help text that's available (at least for that web interface).
