• Launchbox, Windoze & a nix dude?

Again I'm impressed. I have a Frame.work laptop that prefers running on Windows. Recently I figured 'why the heck am I fighting it' and installed Win11. I dig it.

LaunchBox is a SOLID retro gaming platform. Setup is one of the easiest I've ever experienced and it has plenty of auto-populating graphics, videos and borders for the 4x3 systems... its flipping nice.

Add in Windows' easy to cast to my big-screen TVs and... man. I love Linux. But I also love when things w0rk. LaunchBox has been really nice - anyone else use it? Are you on RetroArch [which LaunchBox DOES use, like other platforms...], RetroPie or still loading TONS of emulators to get your retro-gaming fix?

Install Windoze - add on LaunchBox - profit.

Yes; I normally use EmulationStation & RetroArch, or even RetroPie with the same... I was on a Windows machine, which was very out of my norm - and finally got to take a peek @ LaunchBox. I already ended my Windows and will be back on ES -- TBH, I probably won't even install it on this machine; my main RetroPie driver is a RetroPie DMG. [Gameboy form-factor ROM console.]

emulation station desktop edition does provide a windows version, it also provides a version specifically tailored to the steam deck
