Cool, he's doing some interesting stuff with VTXEdit and nice to see him
active again. He'll be a great source of ideas and feedback for you I'm sure.

By the way, hello! Hope all's well with you and yours and you're enjoying
your summer you lucky guy. I'm over burning firewood to keep warm - heh.

have anyone used it in Linux? i compiled a version and it seemed some how "slow". If i use Pablo, which runs under Mono, its response time and feeling
is very quick... its the only drawback for me, cause all in all its a program with too many features and its written in FreePascal!!!! :)

Heh, right now we're getting a lot of rain - broke a bunch of records for Utah AFAIK as we normally don't get much at all. ... but it will rapidly get dry and
very hot soon I imagine. A few months of 100+, then back to freezing. Ahhhh mountain weather!

For now, doing a lot of rock hounding / fossil hunting / etc. until it gets unbarable :)

I imagine you're the only other person besides myself that has compiled it under Linux so far. Yeah, I noticed some of the same issues, but it was very eary (kinda still is). Maybe I'll get FPC setup and try it again - I'd love to help contribute to it in meaningful way.

oh i couldn't resist. vtxedit is a goldmine for pascal programmers, specially for bbs scene stuff. you can learn a lot from it.

the slow downs, are perhaps because of freepascal/lazarus it self. cross compiling has drawbacks also.

i would like to write an ansi editor in sdl2 and i did make a start, but never finished because of other issues (null, real life, other mods etc).

but vtx is really good and compact and definitely needs more attention from
    the scene.

I have more ideas than hours on the calendar. Will finish reskinning ENiGMA 1/2, wrap my head around implementing doors, and start in on an epic door. Also
fit in getting into some message network. heh -

I'm insane trying to write this door I have in mind, so at this point, it's just a proof-of-concept type of thing. lol

    cheers,
