I had the same thing here. For some reason, it didn't reset on this end.
I just ran 'reset.sh' from within the Galactic Dynasty directory to
reset the game locally.
I'm sorry but it seems like I started somehow a bit earlier with the Galaxy Dynasty. And somehow the score didn't reset or something. And now I'm 2 days prior to others. My proposal for my score it to take hold
from GD until Sunday.

I am unsure if a league reset is working for me. If it's a switch
it's not working. If it's just the word reset then it runs to a point
but bails on a linux command that is not windows friendly as it's a
batch file I'm running. How do I send a league wide reset? Should the fsxNet version of the game be updated or is it the latest
version/build that you created?
I've just put a new build on jenkins that fixes the reset.bat. I think
Hopefully then it should work.
If it doesn't, it might have to wait a bit as I have a fairly busy week and fly out on friday.
Sorry about that..
I have to update the 1/10 HUB with the latest Apam version yet. Was
going to work on this tonight but ran out of time. So will aim to do
so tomorrow. I did hatch out the latest versions about 24 hours ago
so if you are a node in the inter-bbs league please feel free to
update to this version and start to test it. I will do the same
tomorrow and advise when done at this end and also when another reset
has been sent. Sorry about the reset but it's probably the best way
to ensure we all start from the right place - agree? Also look for an updated BBS.CFG as I will be adding in another node tomorrow.

It's done, 1/10 HUB updated and have updated Agency. Have issued a game reset. Will hold off on a new BBS.CFG just yet.

Hey
I've doing some thinking about the issues we've been having, and am considering moving the game_id to the BBS.CFG. Either that or changing it to a text file and having a human readable/editable number that can be manually set to the current game id.
if we do it via BBS.CFG you'd be responsible for setting a new game id
and hatching out the updated BBS.CFG each time you want to reset the
game. (or leaving the game id the same if you're just adding nodes).
The other way would continue to work the way it is now, but would be able to be changed by the sysop if something is going wrong.
At this point I think the BBS.CFG way would probably be less problematic, but require a little more intervention, so wanted to float the ideas
first to see what you (and others) think.
I'm fine with that, given we're sending out a BBS.CFG each time
anyway it seems a logical way to go.. at least it ensures that aspect
is set in unison\ Perhaps a switch for GD that the HUB can
announce/set the Game ID like it can add/remove nodes may be another
option or have both options available?
Yep I'm fine with your preferred suggestion... others may want to
jump in also with their thoughts... thanks for taking the time to
ponder it. It's not an urgent thing by any stretch.. family first
etc.. but if you have some downtime and want to look at it further
then all good and thank you :)
before I go ahead and do it.
Hope your trip goes well.

I'm not really sure if I got it correctly. But once this is done is
there need to manually edit the BBS.CFG every time for every system?
BTW: I came up with an idea. That's marketplace. Once I'd mine some
ore I'd sell it. If I'd prepare for war. I'd buy troops and then sell
it. Do You know Elite from ZX Spetrum? That was my favorite game.
However I'm not sure what would it do to the game mechanics. But as I recall Elite was FPS and this is strategy. So who knows.
What the game id is supposed to do is ensure packets from systems that haven't reset when a game is reset from being processed. For example,
Paul issues a reset but a game creates score packets before the reset signal is received, then those score packets wont be imported into the
new game.

I'm sorry to bother You again. But I made an experiment. And I found
that the trouble possibly causes the line 2700 in main.c in current
state of art at Your repository of Galactic Dynasty. I mean there is
atoi function converting the buffer to integer. In my opinion that could handle only max. 9 characters. So in the fact now. When player enters 10 characters as allowed by the game it causes the buffer overflow in that function.
I achieved a bit better result using:
i=strtoull(buffer,NULL,0);
... so far I couldn't sleep and with some help of the bohemian
goddess. I found the fix. It's quite "simple". It's sufficient to use
atol instead of atoi.
Thanks for that, I ended up using strtoll.
I've also added pirate attacks... hopefully haven't totally screwed up
the balance ;)
Thanks, its a suprise visit my Dad does not know Im coming ... :-)
I've made some changes to the next version of Galactic Dynasty. Packets that are the wrong game id will be renamed with a .GAL.OLD extension, packets that are a wrong version or otherwise bad will be renamed with a .GAL.BAD, only packets for a different league will be left untouched.
Can you get me set up for the GD league game? I finally got GD
compiled and running. Not sure what the problem was before, I was
missing a prerequisite I assume. Whatever it was, it got installed
when I installed the list of prerequisites from the magicka web site.

but it segfaults when trying to read the door.sys. Any ideas?
Could you please email me a door.sys file it segfaults with so I can
have a look?
My email is apamment@yandex.com
A couple things I've noticed with 1.7.0-fsx:
I have been out of the BBS scene so long, I do not know what version of Galactic Dynasty there is.
As well, I probably missed out on the File Posting...
Could you Hatch out the latest fsx_Net Inter-BBS version as well as
the current BBS.CFG?
