Well got FastEcho registered and working tossing echo mail for my
Telegard BBS which is at wcalt.rdfig.net standard port. Now to
figure out setting up netmail and compiling a nodelist,

    Anyone have any tips?

I know this message is about a year old, but how did you make out?

I finally got netmail working & echomail is flowing on my newly
ressurected TG board. After logging into your board I found a utility to compile the nodelist, so thank you for that.

Now I just need to find some time for customization.

    That's way cool.

I plan on coming by for a visit when I get a bit of quiet time.

All is well, Telegard still running. Just have not been able to use the
Browse nodelist even though I have it compiled. Other than that all is working.

Be glad to check yours out when it is available, let me know.

I've noticed the same thing, I can't browse the nodelist but if I send netmail it does reconize the node (Found 1:229/664 as NORTHERN REALMS).

Be glad to check yours out when it is available, let me know.

Right now it's still very much a stock experience, not much to see yet. You're still welcome to check it out if you like:

    bbs.nrbbs.net:2323

If you do stop by, there's a hidden option from the main menu to auto-validate:

Just hit /V from the main menu and enter the password FIDOPEEPS and
you'll automaticly upgrade to level 20 which has posting access and 1440 minutes per day. Unvalidated accounts are automaticly deleted after 30 days.

    I'll check it out.

I notice that too. I just tried the browse nodelist option and it says file note found. Dunno why that would happen but this TG BBS seems to run nicely
    in spite of that oddity.

    Anyone have any tips?

I know this message is about a year old, but how did you make out?

I just love replying to old messages it seems. I found that compiling a Version 6 nodelist with QNode and pointing Telegard at that allows for nodelist browsing to work. It even sees all zones/networks, so that's
    pretty cool! :)

    Here's the QNODE.CFG file I used:

    ADDR 1:229/664
    AKA 21:3/110
    AKA 618:500/23
    AKA 77:1/156

    COUNTRY 1

    NODELIST NODELIST
    NODELIST FSXNET
    NODELIST MICRONET
    NODELIST SCINET

    MAXBAUD 9600

    USES VERSION6
    USES INDEX

I had all of the nodelists unzipped in the current directory. I'll now see
if I can point it at some compressed nodelists and see what happens.

You can download QNODE207.zip from http://archives.thebbs.org/ra89c.htm
