wait... what witchcraft is this? The internal (line-based) message editor in Synchronet supports the uploading of message body text via ZMODEM or any other protocol configured by the sysop when using its "/upload" command.

Maybe the problem is the files you're uploading.Hello
normally I would agree with you but if someone looked in the network
message ad areas I had no trouble /uploading a asci or ansi file and
it is the same files I used in 3.19 now 3.20.
Also I see in the message networks where a empty echo area use to state 0 messages now shows 1969 messages.
Now most times if I was going to pick a number that would be 1969.

I already posted an explanation of why that is: v3.19 didn't sufficient bounds-checking on uploaded messages.
Based on DM's explanation, 3.19 did not have a limit on the length of the line in the file you were uploading so your files likely did work fine with 3.19. However, that lack of a limit was causing an overflow bug that needed to be fixed.

Laughing here is something new for me, I found the the ICE
editor has a
upload option also I use a modified ans and one of the old
unmodified ad
files and both uploaded just fine into a message echo area.
I'm just fine now!
This is unrelated to the topic above... Did you receive the email I sent
you about FidoNet? You had given me the address to use in a MicroNet
message area, and now you don't seem to see/respond to anything there...
Are you still looking to get a FidoNet address, or not? If so, please
reply to the email I sent you.
If not, please let me know.

If it helps, he usually responds to micronet netmail at this
micronet address: Havok@618:250/21
As you are both net 250 nodes, you can route it through your hub
(me) and it should get there.
