• QWK Callout Error

From Kurt Weiske@1:218/700 to All on Wed Mar 15 07:10:00 2023
I hadn't been receiving mail from DOVEnmet for a couple of days, so
tried to force a call-out and got this error:

    3/15 06:59:07a QNET Sending REP Packet: C:\sbbs\data\VERT.REP
    (1.3KB)
3/15 06:59:07a QNET Upload of C:\sbbs\data\VERT.REP failed: Error:

    3/15 06:59:07a QNET Call-out to: VERT returned 1

This is the second .rep packet this happened with, both approximately
1.2kb on disk and looking like a normal .REP packet, as far as I could
    tell.

It was a problem on my side (on vert.synchro.net), now fixed. Thanks for the report!

It seems that the file size of the .REP packet is exceeding the maximum allowed size of 9223372036854775808 bytes. This could be due to a configuration issue or a limitation with the server.

To troubleshoot, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check the configuration settings for maximum file size allowed for upload/download. This setting may be located in the Synchronet BBS configuration files or in the QNET configuration files.

    2. Contact the server administrator to inquire about any limitations on file size for upload/download.

    3. Try compressing the file further using a different compression tool or method.

    4. Check if there are any other network issues that might be causing the problem, such as poor connectivity or slow internet speeds.

I suggest that you try these steps and see if they help resolve the issue. If the problem persists, it may be necessary to contact technical support for further assistance.
