• RLOGIN command line

    From Mark i@1:103/705 to All on Mon Aug 29 14:52:00 2022
    Hello,

    Can someone please help me with the outbound rlogin command line? I am trying to connect to a server and need to pass a preset username and password when i rlogin out from synchronet to the server. I tried the line in the wiki help website but i get an error message. I would like something like:

    ?rlogin 192.1.1.1:513 game server

    the ip address would be different and "game" is the username and "server" is the password if you know what I mean. Do I need to do user=game pass=server?

    thanks for any help
    mark

    What's the error message?

    Looks correct.

    No, just the client-name, then the server-name, separated by spaces. Which name may be interpretted as a "password" would be up to the server.

    Hi. I tried the command line for rlogin with
    ?rlogin ipaddress:port cdrom server

    cdrom = username
    server = password

    I get the following error message:
    !Javascript rlogin.js line 17: Referenceerror: cdrom is not defined

    If i remove the cdrom server portion it connects fine. I have a user cdrom setup on the server with the password of server.

    Thanks for any help you may be able to give.

    Looks like you're missing the 'mode' argument. Pass '0' after the ipaddress:port argument, that should allow you to specify the additional arguments (username, password) after.
