    Hello Everyone,

I had a question about the newer version of Amail (2.03) and I am
curious if it happens to everyone. When Amail tosses mail, does it add
    letters to the Areatag sometimes?
It doesn't seem to bother anything, just wondering if it happens to you
guys? What prompted the change to v2.03?

I got Spitfire updated to v3.7 although it reports v3.6 in mail. I
    assume that is normal?

Anyways, it is good to be back in Spitfire echo, and I wanted to say Hi!

When the list of echoes scrolls that it is tossing it will
display: (for Cooking echo for example)

    COOKING
    OOOOKING
    COOKING
    COOKING

Not specific to Cooking either, seems to happen at random. And as I
mentioned, it does not seem to effect anything. Just wondering if anyone
else has noticed this? After I upgraded, I watched it to make sure it
worked. The above is what I saw.

I'm hoping to get into the source code come the new year. However, there are some issues that I will need to address such as proprietary header files. No promises, but I'm hoping to correct the Y2K issue and be able to re-compile
it so Spitfire boards can come back to Fidonet with a working tosser. Not
sure how many Spitfire boards there are out there anymore though :)

What tosser does sf have. I had a sf bbs years ago in early 90s.
Maybe add a telnet server to;)

It used AMail which was written for it. I can't quite rememeber but I think SF used a JAM style nsg base. The Y2K bug hit Amail so it's not really useable anymore.

Amail is the tosser and I'm hoping to start working on it in the next
week or so. As for Telent, use Netserial/Netfoss. Works quite well :)

You purchased the code from Chad? Is Mike Woltz thinking about getting back to updating Spitfire?
