Looking for help in setting up an NNTP server with OXP.
Here are the salient settings, but I get an error after a poll:

The above was failing to connect. So, I changed the setting to port 119 and non-secure, and that allowed a connection.^^^^^^^^^^^^

What I am missing?

To save me posting a ton of info in here, please refer to Section #7 of
oxpguide.pdf for the fully documented procedure, thank you :)

For example, the above quote should actually read:
"The next step is to retrieve a newsgroup list from the news server and should be performed in the following manner: Either press <F10> +
<Enter>, cursor along to "Message", or just press "M". Now select "Area Manager..","
I would also suggest page numbers for the guide, that we can narrow down the place to look by saying "See 7.1, page 2, para 3"

In Subscribe, the S)earch does not behave the way you describe:
"but if you know the name of the newsgroup or part of the name, you can perform a search by pressing "S". After typing in the search phrase and pressing <Enter>, a list of matches will be displayed and you should cursor over the newsgroup you wish to subscribe to and press <Enter>."
I do not get "a list of matches". I only get the first match. Then if I want to continue with the search, I have to press "S <Enter>" again.

Hmmmmm, can't find that particular help topic ??

I've just blown the dust off my copy of the guide dated 16th April 2019
and that's also incorrect.
A lot's changed over the last 12 months, so it
looks as though as I'm going to have to refresh things. Thanks for
bringing this to my attention.

Yes, good idea, I'll have a look at that too.

Yes, that's how it works here.

With today's wordprocessors, all that can be automatically generated as required. Just add a header or a footer placeholder for it.

Correct. When I wrote "the way you describe", I meant your oxp guide.
There is not much "help" on how the S)earch works in the program itself.
I do not get "a list of matches". I only get the first match. Then if
I want to continue with the search, I have to press "S <Enter>" again.
Yes, that's how it works here.
There you go!
So... in the past, did the S)earch do a total list of matches before, and since then has been changed?
A total list of matches would be nice -just like it works in
Thunderbird.
