called, looked and looked then finally said in a loud voice "Well, I guess I'll just have to leaver her", went to the car an
(the message gobbler struck) And, as you've told the story before, that
was sufficient to get her to race out and get into the car.... ;) She
was an intelligent feline, by all accounts... ;)I think it was a combination of having seen and explored enough of
nature and having to fend for herself. :)
True, the outdoor sites would be available 24/7 anyway... :) HopeSo far so good.
your trip is going well... :)
I've only run into a couple of minor issues, such as no indoor
dining, but I seldom do that anyway. I take a cooler, bread, sandwich makings, etc.
I got delayed an hour. The Enterprise place I was to get my car was closed for the duration and everything moved to another location.
Didn't know that until I got to the first one.
No one allowed inside. One got someones attention then that person
came outside. At least the weather is nice. Been nicer if they had chairs.
On the old roads one sees things. On a interstate it's the
same thing mile after mile after mile.
Visited the Falls of the Kanawha River. No Niagara Falls by a long
shot, but it was something to see.
The most beautiful was the Cathedral Waterfall. Cascading off a
1000 foot sheer drop from a rim down a hill side into a stream that
leads to the Kanawha River. A real site to see.
Its just along the road, with no real markings and would have
missed it had it not been for a few cars I saw. Only room for about 12
of them. And lots of people there.
Then the thrill ride of up, over, down mountainsides, hair pin
curves, ess curves, all at the breakneck speed of 25-30 mph. Often
times of around 10-15 mph. Don't have anything like that on an interstate!
Today will be Civil War sites on one of my famous walking tours.
