Lock yourself inside a soundproof room and turn out the
lights. Remain there for one hour, and hope not to go mad.
What did you experience?
My wife's father designed acoustic listening rooms for home stereo
use; it's an interesting idea.
I read recently about a room that was so acoustically silent that it
was uncomfortable to sit in the room for too long without any noise.
Luckily, I've got tinnitus, which means I never have to worry about a
room being too quiet. :|
Remember sensory deprivation tanks? Lay in a soundproof dark tank
with body-temperature, zero buoyancy salt water. I wish I'd tried
one, but they seem to have gone the way of pocket calculators and ESP research.
