• Is it possible that Fukushima is in full meltdown?

From Damon Getsman@1:282/1057 to All on Tue Dec 31 23:01:37 2013
I promise I'm trying not to be Chicken Little here or anything with reports of the sky falling, but I stumbled across some reports that seem to be legitimate at first googling regarding TEPCO announcing that Fukushima reactor #3 is most likely in a full meltdown scenerio.
Here's the first URL that I saw regarding it (as you'll see from the site, the information is highly dubious, but I traced it back a bit): http://www.occupycorporatism.com/tepco-quietly-admits-reactor-3-melting-now/ that document references this source document: http://www.turnerradionetwork.com/news/146-mjt , which really seems to be a bit of a scam to increase sales on duct tape, masking tape, and industrial grade plastic sheeting.
However when I started peeking around on google images and the like, the images really did seem to show some serious crap pouring out of building #3. The most likely scenerio postulated in the articles says that there is a runaway meltdown that is (or already has) boiled away all of the water from the cooling pool for spent fuel rods, and that all of those zirconium encased pellets are busy melting through their encasements and coming together for a big bash.
According to the all the articles I've found on things so far, TEPCO is said to have advised the entire population on the west coast of north america to be prepared to deal with a lethal atmospheric radiation hazard, and/or to be able to evacuate further inland at short notice.
I'm kind of glad to be in the geographical middle of north america right now, although I'd be even happier if I were on the east coast. Don't think I'll be having pacific seafood again, though...
Anybody else able to find anything regarding this on a pro or con nature?
