Definitely. Though I am trying to treat all carbs with the respect I should have years ago.

Unless there's a new and increased tariff put on it.

I don't know, TBH. From what I understand that there are no issues
with that right now and Medtronic is making equipment as usual. I have friends in logistics at the VA hospital I go to. :)

The latest article I could find (https://tinyurl.com/bddc8a8w) said
that certain medical devices would be exempted if they were made in the
US so it's possible Medtronic stuff would be exempted. Let's take this topic elsewhere.

Naaaaahhh ... let's let it just lay there quivering. I'm done with it. Bv)=

So, it's still "alive". Just the insulin function has moatly dropped
    out?

Yeah. It's not making insulin 24/7/365 but it is reacting to insulin
at mealtimes. The pump will take over the pancreas' normal function of constant low-level insulin injection into my bloodstream.

I'm ready for the urchins crying "Trick or TreaT". Picked up a punnet
of Habanero chilies at the store.

    HAH!

Sadly no kids around here. Too many sex offenders in this area. :( A
lot of parents either go to the rich neighborhoods or take them to the
big mall for trick-or-treating. I keep my porch light off to just make sure no strays show up. It's not that I wouldn't like that but kids shouldn't be out in this neighborhood at night.

Over the Halloween "official" T or T nights we might get a half-dozen at
the door. All escorted by adults. Springfield's "season" is from October
    26 to 31 and 16:30 to 20:00.

'Cause, hey, they asked for a trick, didn't they?

My friend dips brussel sprouts in chocolate and hands those out to
teens who are a little too old to trick or treat. XD

Where does s/he live? That sounds tasty.

I don't see what's "Halloween" about this recipe but it still looks good...

    Title: Halloween Haunted Hash Browns
Categories: Potatoes, Greens, Vegetables, Dairy, Cheese
    Yield: 12 servings

    4 md Potatoes; grated
    1/2 lg Onion; fine chopped
    1 lg Egg
    2 tb A-P flour
    Salt & pepper
    Oil for frying
    Black olives; for the eyes
Ketchup or salsa; as a dip

Grate potatoes using the large holes of a box grater.
Place in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much
    moisture as possible.

In a large bowl, mix grated potatoes, onion, egg, flour,
salt, and pepper until combined. Add more flour if too
wet or another egg if too dry.

Shape about 1/4 cup of mixture into ghost shapes with
    slightly wet hands.

Heat 1/4" of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry
ghost shapes for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and
    crispy.

Drain on paper towels. While still warm, press in small
pieces of black olives for eyes.

UDD NOTE: Place pimento pieces for the iris of the eye to
    really make it "spooky".

Serve immediately with ketchup or salsa for dipping.
