    Title: Apple Crisp
    Categories: Desserts
    Yield: 8 Servings

    1 c Brown sugar
    1/2 c Flour
    1/2 ts Nutmeg
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
    1/4 ts Salt
    1/2 c Butter
    5 c Tart apples; sliced

    Mix sugar, flour, spices, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is
    crumbly. Spread apples in bottom of buttered 8 or 9 inch square
    baking pan. Sprinkle crumbly mixture over fruit; pat lightly with
    fingers. Bake uncovered at 350 F for 40-45 minutes, or until apples
    are tender.

    Yield: 1 Batch

    4 c Apples
    1 tb Brown sugar
    1 ts Cinnamon
    1 c Flour
    1 c Sugar
    2 ts Baking powder
    1 Egg

    Slice apples thin, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix
    thoroughly flour, sugar, and baking powder. Stir in egg to dry mix
    until crumbly and then pour over apples. Bake in 350 to 400?F oven
    for about 45 to 60 minutes. Serve hot or cold with cream. Put butter
    over crunch before baking.

    Yield: 4 Servings

    4 Apples; diced
    1 c Grape nuts
    1 c Raisins
    1/2 c Water; boiling
    2 tb Butter; up to 3 tb
    1/4 c Honey
    Cinnamon; to taste
    Nutmeg; to taste
    Yogurt or ice cream

    Cook apples in boiling water. Turn to simmer after 2 to 3 minutes.

    Add honey, butter, raisins, and spices until well absorbed in apples.

    Mix in grape nuts and simmer.

    Top with yogurt or ice cream.
