I was told by e-mail from Bill Swisher that he found on Facebook a
that our former moderator and host of many Echo Picnics had fallen from his twig. That is sad news indeed.
I'm sorry to hear this. It seems that our group ius getting smaller
every year. RIP, Dale.
Few of the "younger set" get the benefits and camaraderie of the 'old school' bulletin boards. And those who do are aging out and toppliong
from or perches. Heck, I'm 82 and beginning to feel the twinges of my senescence.

Newer isn't always better. It's why I oved my BBS to as 64-bit Linux system so it can live on. I'm finally porting my doors for DOS and
making them open source so they can live on also.
(No recipe as I'm reponding via the BBS.)
I still learn new stuff every day. Yesterday I learned that the SESTAR
BBS is *not* run by Marc Lewis. It has been one of my regular stops for longer than I can remember. But, Marc is in Birmingham Alablamma and the SESTAR BBS is in North Carolina. No idea who is the operator but it's a nicely done BBS.

SESTAR is run by Mark Lewis with a 'k' instead of a 'c'. ;)

As I told Shawn - I live by the Boy Scout's marching song - Be Prepared!
"If you're looking for adventure of a new and different kind and you
meet a Girl Scout who is similarly inclined ... don't be frightened,
don't be flustered, don't be scared .... Be Prepared" - song lyric by
Tom Lehrer.
