    Welcome to the FIDO Cooking echo!

    Mike

    Errrrmmmmm .... I thought the poster asked to be ignored. <VBSEG>

    They did. I suspect, although not certain, that maybe they thought this
    was a test echo. My response was a polite way to let them know it was
    not. <g>

    I'll honour the request even though it will be nice to have anther participant in the echo. It gets sort of quiet when Ruth and Steve are
    on a road trip.

    Always nice to have new folks.

    My only problem is that I can't tell from the name of the poster if the
    post is from a boy or a girl. And if I'm honouring the "please ignore"
    I can't ask. Bv)=

    I think that is a "fake name" which translates to "The Other Guy." I could
    be wrong, but that sysop has been working on his new system and I suspect
    he is trying to determine if posts from others make it around the networks.

    So I will cut him some slack. OTOH, it could be someone named Daotha Guy
    so, either way, I want them to feel welcome. :D

    True dat. This (Phydeaux) is my only "social media" since Fa(r)cebook,
    Tweet Her (or X or whatever it's called this week) and the others do not interest me. I'm not much a follower of trends.

    I went back a parsed it - and I b'leive you're right - Daotha Guy is just
    a run together and slurred The Other Guy.

    So I will cut him some slack. OTOH, it could be someone named Daotha
    Guy so, either way, I want them to feel welcome. :D

    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Egbert Ontario's Really Rocky Road Brownies
    Categories: Desserts, Snacks, Chocolate, Nuts
    Yield: 48 servings

    8 oz Unsweetened chocolate;
    - chopped
    1 1/2 c Butter
    6 lg Eggs
    3 c Sugar
    1 tb Vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c All-purpose flour
    1 c Chopped walnuts

    MMMMM--------------------------TOPPING-------------------------------
    2 c Miniature marshmallows
    1 oz Unsweetened chocolate;
    - melted

    In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate;
    stir until smooth. Cool slightly. In a large bowl, beat
    eggs and sugar. Stir in vanilla and chocolate mixture.
    Combine flour and salt; gradually add flour to chocolate
    mixture. Stir in nuts.

    Pour into two greased and floured 9" square baking pans.
    Bake @ 350°F/175°C for 25-30 minutes or until a tooth-
    pick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs
    (do not overbake).

    FOR TOPPING: sprinkle each pan with 1 cup of miniature
    marshmallows. Broil until marshmallows are golden brown,
    about 30-60 seconds. Drizzle with melted chocolate. Cool
    on a wire rack. Refrigerate for several hours before
    cutting.

    NOTE: For easier cutting, refrigerate brownies for
    several hours.
