Hello, All.
With the holiday season going on, especially in these trying times, although this isn't a topic people like thinking about, it's something that we really do need to give time to.
VAntage Point
Dr. Carla Stumpf-Patton’s work around suicide prevention and postvention is more than a job. It’s personal.
The various “, ’ ” chars (the opening double-quotes, and the closing double-quotes and the apostrophe) in the document do not translate well in fido system readers. It doesn't in Synchronet's
online web thing, and it does not in GoldEd at Veleno either. The
chars interfere with reading the article comfortably.
BTW, they looked perfectly fine with Telegram! ;)
It's too easy to cut/paste from the web and plop it in Fido. A
dump into Notepad has solved the special characters problem for me (Windows). Maybe there is an equivalent notepad app for your
smartphone?
Not to make light of the subject, but you committed Subj-suicide -
that is, no subject. ;)
On topic.. Over the years, I've been close to people dealing with
suicide - those in contemplation, survivors and as the end result.
It can be a very dark place for everyone inter-related.
