I believe when Alex Trebec first started (and probably about the time I star JD>watching it some time later), that was the same. Alex is a Canadian as you JD>probably know, and not only a game show host (although that got him the most JD>money <G>). If I remember right, he has a PHD in something
What's funnier is that after a week after he became a naturalized U.S. Citizen, he was summoned for jury duty!! My Mom and I were joking about that, and 2 days later, I got my summons!! :O
While I enjoyed "doing my civic duty" back then, numerous health
issues, plus taking care of my soon to be 91 year old Mom, preclude me
of ever serving again. While I didn't fare well economically (I only got $20 per day), it meant not having to put up with crap from the workplace for a day.
Didnt realize that he had become naturalized. No matter. I suppose at my a JD>I probably will never have to serve. While in the military, I was exempt, a JD>after retirement, nothing ever materialized either.

My late father would've LOVED to have served. My Mom and I always joke about what it might have been like if my Dad had been the jury foreman. LOL
I dont think anyone in our family was ever called for jury duty.

I like what Groucho Marx said on that...see the tagline below.
