We had a guy at our church some years ago whose surname is
Junkers. He is a helicoptor mechanic. How ironic is that?
Junkers never made rotary wing AC <G> Only a fool would fly in one
of those <G>
I like the JU-52, but never rode in one. When I worked offshore, I
did fall asleep in the helicopter that brought us in and out and
that thing made a lot of noise. Better than being in the crew boat,
though, because they wouldn't let me be the pilot. (-:
That wasn't nice of them :)
Well, that was just an example of you can't have everything.

Yes, I got the same impression. I've noticed in recent years that
there have been a number of women who have seemingly weathered the
years rather well, and cause me to ponder that they must have been
hunies a half-century back, and, what they were doing in life back
then. She is another.

Pat Boone? Sure, if you want. I don't particularly care, as I don't particularly care for those types of shows. That's a USofA show. Joe, it is not as available here in OZ as it may be in Canadia(ha). :)

yeah, if you like games and unrealistic physics... if one is really into flying, one should take a look at the FlightGear simulator... it is FOSS and has been in development for 20(+) years... the original goal was much better graphics than the other so-called simulators had... it has done a good job but since it is FOSS and everyone is a volunteer of their time to the development, some things still need more work...

Did it finish installation? Perhaps you missed clicking a Y or N
at some point <G>??

Or nowhere at all <G>. It was one of my favs as well. Did you
know the lead singer was Canadian, and that he was also the lead
singer of another 50s/60s era group? Cant recall the name of that
one. Saw a show on PBS, where they sang Little darling and some
others, and then came back with the other group almost immediately
Where is nowhere? No. What does being Canadian have to do with
anything? (-:
Just boasting <G>, and Nowhere could be under several layers of

Oh, I wish it were that simple. I'll know more this afternoon after my beauty nap, which so far has not done anything to imrove my mood or appearance.

What I'm seeing is that I'm missing an ISO file. The whole program
was supposed to be on this disc and it isn't, so I looked for the ISO, which was supposed to be on another disc.

While programming in Basic, used to get a Syntax error. Finding
that error sometimes took days. Usually it was a simple thing like
using a , when a . was needed.

oh... is this something that you downloaded from them or disks that
came via some sort of delivery vehicle? eg: postal, ups, fedex,
dhl...
... Computer modelers simulate it first.

Postal and I think someone forgot to stamp the disc with the ISO file.
I'll get back to it one of these days.

A Nederlander, AKA The Netherlands. To enlighten those puzzled by this thread,
Joe and I have a private joke going about this, which may or may not cause regret in those of you who have read this far. (-:

If you do find it, it's ALWAYS in the last place you looked.

It always is, but I think that could have been caught in debug mode. Time has passed me by and my favorite thing back then was to take BASIC programs and compile them with my IBM compiler after altering them somewhat to make them run
faster, but that was taken from me 12 years ago and BASIC as I knew it is no longer around. Too many computer languages nowadays for me to get interested.

so you got a blank disk?
normally the disk is the ISO... i used to make ISOs from CDs for my
linux "CD jukebox" all the time... we do that with the dd command
on linux...
dd if=/dev/cdrom of=~/my_ISO_image.iso
this says to input from (if=) the cdrom device and to output to
(of=) a file in the home directory (~/) called my_ISO_image.iso...
since we're reading from the raw disk, this works great...
I'll get back to it one of these days.
so, i'm rereading what was said earlier... are you saying that you
should have gotten two CDs? or are we talking about floppy disk
images? i'm not sure and i haven't dropped the funds for ArcaOS yet
so i don't personally know what the package contains... you might
have a "damaged" CD or a burn that your CD reader doesn't like...
i've seen that numerous times when burning on one machine and
trying to read on another... we've got one here that refuses to
read and CDs unless they are silver... the red, blue, green, purple
and other colored CDs it just doesn't like at all...

I still use some basic scripts. I kept GWBasic in my Utils
directory

I'm with you on this, Joe. I still have mine... in my Utils directory too (in this VirtualBox PC). Dated April 1989! It hasn't been used for so l-o-n-g... but it's there, just in case. You just never ever know... ;-)
I still have the install disks for the last version of DOS,
and also for WFWG
Strangely the BIOS on some of those still mention
Floppy Drive <G>
I still have the install disks for the last version of DOS,
and also for WFWG <G> They sit on the shelf, and I wonder if they are still readable. Only have one computer left that has a floppy drive connected to anything. The others have MB sans FD connectors.

For me, the last DOS and the best was MS-DOS 7.1 that came with Win98SE. I still have installation CDs for about 3x Win98 PCs.
Somewhere I have the MS-DOS 5.xx floppies, which are probably unreadable even if I did have a working 5.25" FDD. I think there may be a bootable DOS 5.xx CD but I haven't seen that since last century. :)

Mmm... there's a wonderful joke in there but it's eluding me at the moment. ;-)

That would show up on USB devices as I recall.

I'd rather have a Hard disk then a Floppy??

yup, but it still wants to know how you want to treat it...

Argggh! Yes, 3.5s! (Mmm... where are they?) Yes, I have a set of MS-DOS 6.2x
disks too! And WFWG 3.11 on 3.5"s! Wow! I may have lost them in one of
our house moves. Bummer. :( I do have disk .img files for them but I
never could get WFWG to install in a VirtualBox.
I'd rather have a Hard disk then a Floppy??
That is a good comeback. Thank you.

Or one of these two taglines:
Junior!! Quit playing with your floppy!!
Hard Disk??!! Lady, I misunderstood you!!
