Further to that.. I'm used to it. The indoor temp hasn't been higher than 17-19C in the house so far this season. 12C is a tad chilly, I must admit, but I can always wear my covid mask to keep my nose warm. :/

Now it will be interesting to see if I can tolerate a coldbrew coffee.

As for the mask, personally, I prefer scarves.

Now it will be interesting to see if I can tolerate a coldbrew

My 19 year old grandson drinks those. It's un natural.

You'd love it here. 74F/23C during the day yesterday, 43F.6C overnight, back to 74F/23C today.

My sinuses are ready to go on strike.

It's the darn wind that cools the house so bad. It can be -5C outside, and no heat in the house except the heat energy disipated from the fridge and it would be just fine acutally as long as there is no wind! Right now, there are gusts of up to 90km/hr in select regions. I'll get a blast of high wind right now, and then it will calm down for about 30min and then another blast of wind, and on it still goes. The windows in my house are very old.

19C Is ok when I'm working during the day. But sitting on the couch in the evening watching TV, that's too chilly for me, the themostat goes to 20.5 automatically when the evening starts...

Now it will be interesting to see if I can tolerate a coldbrew coffee.

You don't have something like a gas-stove for cooking? So you can boil water for your coffee?

I keep the temps at the shop no higher than 18C or 19C. People come and go, they wear coats and I move around a lot. But at home it is nicer to have warmer space since I don't move around so much and sit most of the time.

As for stove, a small portable camping propane stove could work nicely in this situation - that would be nice. But, I have been delinquent to get one. I actually have two modest top-loading wood-stoves in the house (one for lower level and one for upper level), but I have not used them in years and all my wood is used up since then. Maybe I could start burning my furniture. :/

Well if it happens more often that you are out of electricity for longer then half a day, it would be the smart thing to get. ;)
