Ruth Bader Ginsburg died today, I just read. I wish her family the
best.
But I also wonder what does this mean for her spot in the Supreme
Court? Does this give Trump yet another opportunity to fill a
seat before the end of his term?
Generally, this close to an election, the trend was to wait until after to fill the seat.

Lets hope Trump *doesn't* ponder or attempt to fill RBG's spot, at least no now.

Nevermind! Mitch McConnel already answered my question!
He said that "Trump's nominee will have a vote on the senate floor."
Pretty cool! Not happy that RBG has passed, but very happy for babies.

Why not? More Republicans in the supreme court makes us stronger.
Trump will nominate a new justice.
Moscow Mitch will grant him/her a hearing,
and a vote. The only question being will
this be before, or after, the election.
Nothing. The USSC could have overturned Roe V. Wade long ago
had it wanted to. But Republicans wanted to keep the status quo,
in order to use the issue of abortion as a political weapon.
Being pro-life means from the moment of conception and throughout
life to the time of natural death. I do not see many of those so-called "pro-life" folks calling for an end to the death penalty, or for all
people to have access to quality health care.
I am sure the Democrats will pull out all the stops to keep Trump's
nominee from being confirmed. And I am also sure Trump will also get
his way. Howeveer, once Joe Biden takes the oath of office it is
going to be a whole new ball game. Just think how much fun he will
be having naming at least four new justices to the Supreme Court -
and that is just in his first month in office.

A true one-party state.

Moscow Mitch did in 2016. He invoked "The Biden Rule" - a rule of

American people" had to have a say. Remember, it was an election

It's an eye for an eye. Dems are making citizens like me angry. When dems >start taking things from me, it makes me want to take things from them.

Actually, there's a thing called the Thurmond rule, which has been used
inconsistently.

There was an article I read the other day that talked about this.
I wish I could find it now.
It showed a while lot of inconsistency from both parties on how this sort of
situation has been handled in the past.

Notice that even your pal Mitt Romney is ready to vote?

And now he's back to being a lousy butt sniffer?

Hello Aaron,
Mitt Romney says he is a Republican. Mitt Romney says he
is a conservative. Mitt Romney has bent his knee to the orange >LL>clown, showing the entire world who is his master.

Trump was already impeached by the House.

Same as his Republican colleagues.

Yes and he was also acquitted also.

Romney is no fool, he can see of what is about to happen when Trump is
elected again and the American people vote to take the house from the dems, and hand it over to Republican control.
