2. Upgrade to a newer version of Windows

Got everything running on Win7 now. I tried Win10 Guest, but man that shit is slow, and my Win7 key was having issues which wasn't a major issue once I did the online unlock, but I settled on Win7 for now, it just runs smoother.

So yeah, problems seem gone, so were all good.

I had the same experience.. I got my BBS set up in a Win10 VM but it seemed very slow, so I set up a Win7 VM instead.

I thought Windows 8 and above (including 10) were supposed to be able to run on fairly low resources, since Microsoft tried to make the more recent versions of Windows able to run on both PCs and tablets (which might not have many resources).

EOL is Jan 21st, 2020, of course EOL for XP was like 7 years ago.
