• Lack of groups in messages

From Adept@77:1/107 to All on Wed Sep 25 22:28:56 2019
I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but since I haven't figured it out yet, maybe someone here can help:

I've been trying to follow the Mystic guy setup tutorials for sending messages, but I'm running into the problem that when I hit "J" for "Join Group", nothing happens, and it says that I'm in "None" for the group, and has me in an area that's part of group one (i.e., I set the security levels at s10g1).

That last bit I've tested by swapping around security levels, and it shows everything from group 1, but never group 2.

I'm assuming there's some place to set the message groups, but when I go into the Message Group Editor, two groups are listed, both with Access of 10 and Hidden set to no.

So I'm at a loss. Thanks for any help.

Have you also made sure that each message base is in said group?

    That's the "s10g1", right?

That said, your message got me to poke around a bit more, scan through the video, and find my bug -- in the Message Group Editor for each of the groups, I had the Access set to "10", and it needed to be "s10".

Thanks for helping me get there.

so the ACS for each group in the message group editor is set as s10 with
    Hidden set to 'No' ??

Yeah, you caught the bug, even before seeing my next message about having "10" instead of "s10". Thanks, and man was that typo frustrating.
